Freedom Farm Ministries Scholarships

At Freedom Farm Ministries, we see every man who walks onto our property as someone deeply loved by God and by his family. For many, the only thing standing between them and a year-long, Christ-centered recovery program is money. Scholarship gifts close that gap.

Our Honor & Memorial Scholarships allow you to give in a way that tells a story. You can create a scholarship in honor or in memory of someone you love, while helping men in Boone, North Carolina and the surrounding areas find freedom from addiction through Jesus Christ.

The Epperson & McClain Treatment Scholarship

In Memory of Stuart Epperson Sr. and Bill McClain

A scholarship donation to the Freedom Farm Ministries has been made by Jay and Jane Helvey of Winston Salem to honor the lives lived by best friends Stu and Bill. They modeled finishing life strong with a heart for helping the next generation.

The Dr. Gary Chapman Treatment Scholarship

In Honor of Dr. Gary Chapman

A scholarship donation to Freedom Farm Ministries has been made by Michael Ziglar of Winston-Salem in honor of Dr. Gary Chapman, senior associate pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr. Chapman is also an author, international speaker, and marriage-and-family counselor who helps people form lasting relationships. His best-selling book, “The Five Love Languages,” has sold more than 20 million copies and has been translated into nearly 40 languages.

What a Freedom Farm Scholarship Provides:

A Freedom Farm scholarship is more than a check. It helps cover real, everyday needs that make a year of recovery possible, including:

  • Program fees for our one-year, Christ-centered addiction recovery program
  • Safe housing on our campus
  • Meals, basic needs, and transportation
  • Discipleship, Bible study, and church involvement
  • Counseling, mentoring, and accountability
  • Opportunities to serve through our supporting ministries, like our firewood sales, property maintenance service, and thrift store

For a man who has lost almost everything to drugs or alcohol, this kind of support can mean the difference between giving up and pressing on.
